  1. Thank you Deer Run for providing such a great experience. As someone who plays more than 25 different courses in the metro area each year, Deer Run remains my favorite because of the fast play, great conditions (best greens in the state in my opinion), super friendly staff and GREAT FOOD. Keep up the great work!!!

  3. Deer Run is my favorite course in the metro. The staff is friendly, the pro is the best (HA), and I love the greens. No better place to play!!

  4. I really love this wonderful course. I come out with 3 of my good looking guy friends and every time i step on the first tee box i (almost) wet myself. I love the service (especially the cart ladies). I really do enjoy playing here, and i want to be buried here. In the bunker of hole 3. My fave hole is 17. peace

  5. Did the guy at the top say " best greens in the state"? The greens are not true at all and on "Fast Play Friday" it took us over 6 HOURS to play because there was two six-somes ahead of us. The course is over priced as well. On a scale of 1 to 10 i give it a 5. Go play town course for the same price and get back to me.

  7. Laura,
I have played 40-60 rounds at Deer Run every year for about 10 years now. I play another 10 courses on average every year. I think Deer Run's greens can hold their own with any course in MN. I often find myself complaining at other courses because i'm used to DR's greens being so true.

I assume from the date of your comment that you played on Friday, April 17th. Perhaps you aren't from MN, but greens are typically not at their peak until atleast April 18th....

I hope you will come back and try it again. I do understand why you'd be upset if it really did take you over 6 hours to play. I would be livid. In my 500 or so rounds I think i've had a few 5 hour rounds, and it sucks. I can say that I've never seen a 6-hr round. That would be unforgiveable.

  8. I had the best day at the run on Tues. I was fortunate enough to hit a hole in one on #2 and the next 36 holes I was on cloud nine. It couldn't have been more perfect of a day and being my home course makes it that special. I can't say enough about the course and staff.
Thanks Deer Run...plus I am excited to drink some Grey Goose!

  9. I'm an avid golfer that loves to try out new courses. I've played most of the public courses in the state of Minnesota. I finally was able to try Deer Run. It's more of a course for beginners or retired people that have lost their distance. A very short course without much imagination. Not really a championship course. Way too over priced for this track. Nice flowers all over.
